What's a backfilled call, and why doesn't it count?
A backfilled call is one logged too long after it was made for us to confirm the timing: more than 24 hours after you published it. You can add them, including calls from before you joined, but they're always labeled backfilled and never count toward your live record.
Details
A call is live only if:
- it's logged within 24 hours of the original post; if the source shows only a date, not a time, it must be logged the same UTC day; and
- it's recorded before its outcome window opens.
Anything else is backfilled, permanently. The ledger's verifier rejects a backfilled call marked as live.
- Live and backfilled calls are shown separately and never pooled. Headline stats use live calls only.
- The same call can't be entered twice (once live, once backfilled).
- Why: a call added after the fact could be picked with hindsight. Labeling it is the honest option.
