How do I log a call?

You can't yet; Proof of Call hasn't launched. At launch you'll log a call on the web (an API and MCP are planned) by entering the ticker, what you expect, and by when. Log it as soon as you publish it: calls logged more than 24 hours later are labeled backfilled and don't count toward your live record.

Details

What a call will contain:

  • Ticker. It's attached to a permanent instrument id, so renamed or reused tickers resolve to the right company.
  • What you expect: either a direction (up, down, or better/worse than a benchmark, default SPY; or "neutral" vs. the benchmark) or a price target with a deadline.
  • Horizon: when the call should be judged.
  • Confidence (optional, 50–99%): adds a calibration score.
  • Source link (optional, encouraged): the original public post.

After logging you get a receipt (call id plus hash) and a public permalink. The horizon, benchmark and scoring rule are fixed at logging time and can't be changed. See Can I edit or delete a call?
