What is Proof of Call?

A tamper-evident track record for people who make public stock calls. You log each call when you make it; we seal it in an append-only ledger, score it when its horizon ends, and show it on a public profile, misses next to hits. It's in development, and sign-ups aren't open yet.

How it's designed to work:

  1. Log the call: ticker, direction or price target, horizon, and an optional confidence. See How do I log a call?
  2. It's sealed: appended to the ledger right away. You get a receipt (call id plus hash) and a permalink. See What does "sealed" mean?
  3. It's scored: at the horizon, using end-of-day prices under the rule declared when you logged it. See How are calls scored?
  4. It's shown: a public profile with every call, open calls, hit rate, calibration if you gave confidences, and live vs. backfilled counts, plus an embeddable badge (planned).

What we verify: the timing and outcome of each call. What we don't: the quality of anyone's advice. A profile isn't a recommendation to follow anyone, and a track record, good or bad, isn't a prediction of future calls.

It's opt-in: Proof of Call keeps records only for writers who choose to take part.
